The Blues: 1/2/16

We'll start the new year out with classic songs from the past.  The show begins with Albert King's classic, "Born Under a Bad Sign" followed by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Cream's "Stormy Monday" and "Statesboro Blues" by the Allman Brothers 1971.

The second set starts off with Etta James and Cyndi Lauper (Cyndi Lauper's award-winning Broadway play is coming to the Aronoff this week - Kinky Boots).  Sonny Landreth and BB King complete the second set of the program.

And finally, Hugh Laurie begins the third set with some help from Sir Tom Jones and Irma Thomas.  Plus, songs by Jimmy McGary and Johnny Adams to finish out the show.
