This year's Christmas special on The Blues, Saturday night, December 19th at 11pm, starts off with BB King, Booker T & the MGs, the Blind Boys of Alabama, Etta James and Aaron Neville. The second set begins with Houston Person's "Merry Christmas Baby," followed by Marcia Ball, Leon Redbone, Allen Toussaint, and the Marcus Roberts Trio.
And, the show ends with local favorites, The Steve Schmidt Organ Trio, then the Persuasions, James Brown's "Please Come Home for Christmas" recorded at King Records, and the Blind Boys of Alabama performing "Last Month of the Year."
