Goodyear Blimp

Two Goodyear airships will take flight passing over each of Akron's 24 neighborhoods Saturday to celebrate the new city holiday, Blimp Day.

It’s the 100th anniversary of when the Goodyear Blimp first took flight outside of Akron.

Goodyear christened Wingfoot Three this week, the last in its line of modern airships.
