Ohio State University's women's basketball coach Kevin McGuff pled guilty Tuesday to a lesser traffic charge after being charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated in May.

The new charge was for physical control, meaning he was in the driver's seat of a car with keys while under the influence.

Dublin Police arrested McGuff in May following reports of a car driving recklessly through a yard and hitting several curbs.

A judge ordered McGuff to pay a $565 fine. The judge also suspended his license for 180 days. McGuff will still be allowed to drive for work.

McGuff didn't appear in court on Tuesday.

The Ohio State women's basketball team plays Sunday at 2 p.m. against UCLA in Columbus.
