Some central Ohio travel agencies are seeing robust sales for Ohio State's College Football Playoff game on New Year's Eve, despite being seen as a big underdog against top-ranked Georgia.

Ike Reynolds owns Reynolds Travel in Columbus. He said sales struggled somewhat for the Buckeyes' appearance last year in the Rose Bowl.

This year, he said there was a moment where he wasn't sure if fans would turn up for a trip to see OSU take what seems like a long shot at a national championship. "There was a period there where we were getting no calls, and I think maybe it was just a shock that we were able to get in before people started thinking about where they wanted to go," Reynolds said.

Then the phone started ringing. Reynolds said they've sold about 200 of roughly 250 travel packages so far.

Given that the game is in Atlanta, he said plenty of fans will probably just drive themselves.

But no matter how they get there, Reynolds said Buckeyes fans are telling him to not count out the team.

"I think it's gonna be close. It might be won on turnovers," Reynolds said. "They both have good offenses. So...I would see something like maybe Ohio State winning by three to seven points."

Reynolds still has travel packages available for the game. They can be purchased here.
