The 2022 Memorial Golf Tournament kicks off this week, and unlike the past two years, golfers and fans alike will enjoy the full experience in and around the course.

“There are no protocols that we will follow other than common sense. Those who wish to wear a mask, please, you're invited to. Those that do not, don't, and we're not requiring them. So we look forward to having full capacity at the tournament this year, “ said Memorial Tournament Executive Director, Dan Sullivan.

Sullivan said the newly reconfigured Jack Nicklaus course will be on full display at the 2022 Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village this year. Those attending will see some of the world's top golfers tee it up and hit long in person. He said this year golf enthusiasts will also get the chance to get a little closer to the action.

“They're going to be able to find some new vantage points around the golf course on 14 and on 17 that give spectators just a little bit more entertainment value and a little bit more opportunity just to get around the golf course and enjoy all the great scenery,” said Sullivan.

Nationwide Children's Hospital is a major benefactor of the tournament, which is now in its 47th year. Practice rounds began Tuesday with the main tournament running June 2 through June 5.
