Nationwide, there are over 40,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including the head of a large Indiana hospital chain, and the spread doesn’t appear to be slowing. Experts caution that the current spread has not yet been impacted by social distancing and quarantining measures -- they hope to see new cases drop next week.

Iowa:
- State officials launched a short-term relief program for small businesses.
- The health department has told first-responders to keep working even if they test positive for the virus, as long as they are asymptomatic.
Missouri:
- There are over 180 confirmed cases of the virus statewide.
