The U.S. Justice Department will send election monitors to three Ohio counites next week on Election Day.

The Boards of Elections in Franklin, Medina and Cuyahoga counites were emailed letters informing them that the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ plans to monitor those locations.

This is part of what is expected to be the DOJ's largest election monitoring effort and includes all 50 states.

It is said that they will only observe the election operations and won't interfere in the voting process.

The letters also say they will check for compliance with federal laws such as the Voting Rights Act, the National Voter Registration Act, the Uniformed and Overseas Absentee Voting Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

We will discuss what this means for Ohio, the state's voters and voting around the country.
