President Donald Trump listens as gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy speaks at a campaign rally at the Covelli Centre, in Youngstown, Ohio, Monday, Oct. 12, 2026.

The fallout from Republican Vivek Ramaswamy's attack ad against his opponent, Democrat Amy Acton, in the Ohio governor's race continues to reverberate across the state and beyond.

Gov. Mike DeWine called on the Ramaswamy campaign to take down the ad, though DeWine did not withdraw his endorsement of the Republican who wants to take his place.

President Donald Trump weighed in, saying to let the ad air, but many Republicans disagree.

While the campaign for governor dominates the news, it's the outcome of the statehouse legislative races that determine governing power. Will the Republicans' supermajority hold in Ohio?

Plus, more presidential visits to Ohio: former President Barack Obama makes his first stop and President Trump plans to come to the state for a third time this month.

We're discussing all of it on this week's Reporter Roundtable.
