OB-GYN physicians and midwives provide care to patients from puberty through menopause.

This already underfunded area of health care faces mounting and myriad challenges: funding cuts, staffing shortages and fewer places to access care.

Hanging in the balance are the health of pubescent girls, expectant moms and their babies and menopausal women, basically, all those along the spectrum of care.
