News of a possible end to the government shutdown broke late in the day Sunday. But it’s not a done deal. As lawmakers negotiate in Washington, it’s still a wait-and-see situation for more than a million Ohioans waiting for food assistance.

What happens to SNAP benefits is now tied up in the courts.

Communities, local governments and the state have stepped up – but this outpouring of support is a temporary fix.
