Once a student leaves high school, their responsibility for their personal finances increases. But are they ready to meet the challenge?

The Financial Planning Community Project was created five years ago to not only teach financial literacy, but it also offers free financial advice to college students. The program is for students at Ohio State University, Columbus State Community College and Franklin University and provides them an edge on careers in finance.

The initiative was created because of one woman’s interest in teaching college students about financial literacy.

We’ll learn about the program and how important it is to learn financial planning at a young age.
