The continuing efforts to remove lead from Ohio's water supply

Ohio ranks third in the nation for the number of lead pipes still in service.

Health issues related to lead exposure are well documented, with public health officials working over decades to reduce lead poisoning cases. But the work is far from over.

In the new state budget, the Republican-led legislature cut millions of dollars earmarked for lead abatement efforts.
