A divided U.S. Supreme Court recently made two decisions that could have major implications for LGBTQ youth.
One case upheld laws that ban gender affirming medical care for transgender minors. Another ruling said religious parents can pull their children from class if a lesson uses an LGBTQ themed story.
The decisions could also impact how LGBTQ issues are taught in schools.
On this edition of All Sides, we’re talking about the decisions and what they could mean for Ohio youth.
Guests:
- Marc Spindelman, professor of law, Ohio State University
- Amanda Erickson, senior associate director of programs & operations, Kaleidoscope Youth Center, Inc.
