The Senate recently passed its version of the “Big Beautiful Bill.”
The bill contains major regulatory changes that could have impacts on our lives for decades to come.
However, one provision of the bill added by GOP Utah Senator Mike Lee sparked significant backlash from both parties.
This provision would have allowed for the sale of millions of acres of public land in the western United States.
The provision was removed from the final version of legislation, but Senator Lee plans to continue his efforts through other channels.
Coming up, we’re talking about the importance of public lands to conservation in the United States and what the Trump administration wants to do with these natural spaces.
