What's being done to prevent food waste?

Food waste is perfectly good, safe-to-eat food that is thrown away rather than eaten.

Around 16% of food waste in the U.S. is from farms. What happens to that waste? And why is there so much of it?

We’ll hear from Misfits Market, an organization working to break the cycle of food waste. And we’ll find out what local food banks are doing with surplus food from farms and grocery stores.
