Pablo Picasso once said, "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist when he grows up."
Three women in Ohio are working to solve Picasso’s dilemma and we will meet them today for Fascinating Ohio.
The new State Librarian of Ohio has spent the last 20 years of her life sharing art in the form of literature with Ohio.
We’ll be speaking with the founder of a local art studio that supports people of all abilities in becoming artists.
We’ll meet the woman who was named Ohio State’s third Artist Laureate. An associate professor of art who specializes in image-based art.
Guests:
- Mandy Knapp, State Librarian
- Patty Mitchell, founder and executive director of Passion Works
- Kate Shannon, Ohio State’s Artist Laureate/associate professor of art at OSU’s Mansfield campus
