Improv groups like Second City and The Groundlings have led to gigs on Saturday Night Live and in major motion pictures for some comics.

While a chosen few go on to stardom selling out arenas, headlining Netflix specials or starring in movies, many are doing gigs in venues around the country.

Dozens of those comedians will be coming to Columbus next week for the inaugural Columbus Comedy Festival.
