Tech Tuesday: Online kid influencers and efforts to protect them

Videos with children who appear to be under the age of 13 receive three times as many views as other social media videos, according to data from the Pew Research Center.

Some so-called kid influencers can make big money, prompting concern about monetizing minors for profit, as well as worries about privacy. Only Illinois has passed legislation to protect minors on social media.

Two Ohio lawmakers last week introduced the Kidfluencer Protection Act. Also on Tech Tuesday, how social robots can help dementia patients.
