The battle lines have been drawn over a GOP plan to make it harder for Ohioans to amend the state Constitution and thereby foil a plan to enshrine abortion rights in the document.
The pushback has been growing among good government groups and others who say the Republicans' explanation that it’s too easy for outside interests to get a foothold is bogus.
