From gingerbread to sugar cookies, one of the highlights of the holiday season is cookies.

Whether you participate in a cookie exchange, or bake a plethora of eats on your own, we’ll discuss cookies for every baking level.

Most of us think of holiday cookies in terms of our own family traditions, with favorite recipes handed down over the generations.

But modern Christmas cookies can trace their history to recipes from medieval Europe, when the trade routes introduced cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, almonds and dried fruit to the west.

Now, we take for granted those ingredients and expect a wide variety of seasonal cookies, from the cutout to the thumbprint.

We’re covering all of it on our annual holiday cookie show.

We’ll have experts Terri Moore and Lisa Kaminski on hand, so bring your stories, your memories and your questions.
