J.D. Vance, a Republican running for an open U.S. Senate seat in Ohio, speaks to reporters following a debate with other Republicans at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio, Monday, March 28, 2022.

Venture capitalist, author, and political neophyte J.D. Vance will serve as Ohio’s next senator replacing outgoing Republican Rob Portman.

Vance, a Republican, faced a tough challenger in 10-term Democratic congressman Tim Ryan.

The Senate as a whole remains up in the air with key races in Georgia and Nevada uncalled.

Today on All Sides with Ann Fisher, we are going to be talking about all of it with veteran political journalist Ken Rudin
