The U.S. Hispanic population numbers well over 60 million, representing more than 18% of the total population. In Ohio, the percentage is less, just 4%, but the number of Ohioans who identify as Hispanic has doubled since 2000 and has more than tripled in the last 50 years.
Hispanic residents also represent a strong voting block. With the midterms on the horizon, we’ll look at the competition for the Hispanic vote.
