Donald Trump's social media platform, Truth Social

Donald trump’s social media platform Truth Social may be forced to liquidate if a related investment company fails to garner enough shareholder votes to extend a merger and keep the money flowing.

That would leave Trump without a megaphone, albeit one that reached far fewer than when he was a Twitter denizen.

The @realdonaldtrump handle had amassed 88.7 million followers by the time Twitter suspended it in January 2021. At truth social, his posts reach just a little over four million followers.

Today on Tech Tuesday, the latest news on Truth Social.

Guests:

  • Eric J Rignot, Glaciologist at UC Irvine and Caltech's Jet Propulsion Laboratory
  • Drew Harwell, Technology Reporter, Washington Post
  • Russell Holly, Managing Editor for Commerce at CNET
