Chris Glassburn, mapmaker for Democratic proposal, answering questions from Senate President Matt Huffman (R-Lima) on the issue of compactness in certain districts.

The Ohio Redistricting Commission passed a second version of new legislative maps on Saturday night, however again the Republicans failed to attract the needed Democratic support for a ten-year map.

Ohio House Minority Leader Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington), the newest member of the commission, mourned the lost opportunity. Republicans had their own criticisms of the Democrat-proposed maps.
