The Columbus Zoo And Aquarium: COVID, Controversy, And Comebacks

Columbus Zoo

Three snow leopards at the Lincoln Children’s Museum in Nebraska died in November after testing positive for COVID-19. The virus is suspected in the death of a rare snow leopard in Sioux Falls and an African lion in Honolulu.

Many of the same risk factors for humans exist in the animal world too.

COVID is just one challenge facing the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium following a scandal-filled year that included top resignations, multiple investigations and new leadership.

Today on All Sides with Ann Fisher, we talk COVID, controversy, and comebacks with Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s new president and CEO.

GUESTS:

  • Tom Schmid, president and CEO, Columbus Zoo & Aquarium
