Challenges Low-Income Veterans Face To Readjust To Civilian Life

It's easy to assume that once a military service member has left the ranks and returned home, they are out of harm’s way. However, readjustment to civilian life can be complicated.

Veterans, especially those who receive compensation benefits, are sought-after targets of scammers. Low-income veterans can be especially vulnerable when it comes to issues that require legal aid, from housing to health care benefits.

Coming up, we discuss how the legal system can hamstring our most vulnerable veterans and how others have stepped in to help.
