A panel of doctors advising the Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday recommend emergency use authorization of COVID-19 shots for kids ages 5-11.

The vote was 17-0 with one abstention. Members raised a number of concerns but in the end felt the benefits outweighed the risks.

Today on Wellness Wednesday on All Sides with Ann Fisher, we talk to a medical doctor to answer your questions about the COVID-19 vaccine for kids.

Guests:

  • Kimberly Seals Allers, author and creator of maternal health app
  • Brady Post, health economist, assistant professor, Northeastern University
  • Dr. John Swartzberg, chair of the editorial board, UC Berkeley School of Public Health Wellness Letter
