An editorial carried in more than 200 medical journals last month sounded the alarm about climate change and the risk to public health globally.

Hotter temperatures are already taxing public health systems as weather catastrophes multiply.

The topic will be the focus of a first-ever symposium for medical professionals, students and scientists at Ohio State University on Oct. 22.
