The largest increase in 46 years is coming to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, better known as Food Stamps.

Developed during America’s Great Depression. The program, as many people know it, was revived during the Kennedy administration. Later administrations expanded the program which has adapted to 21st-century technology.

During this hour we’ll learn how the food stamp program has changed and continues to serve as a safety net for individuals and families.
