Two people walk past a sign for COVID-19 testing at the Cleveland Clinic, Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, in Cleveland.

The COVID-19 vaccines in use today in the U.S. are all extremely protective against the virus, but no shot is perfect.

As of April 26, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 9,245 infections among the more than 95 million Americans who had been fully vaccinated. In very rare cases, some of those people have died.

Today on Wellness Wednesday on All Sides with Ann Fisher, we discuss so-called breakthrough infections of COVID-19.

Guests:

  • Demicha Rankin, MD, Associate Dean for Admissions, The Ohio State University College of Medicine
  • Dr. Juanita Collier Connecticut-based board-certified behavioral optometrist
  • Dr. John Swartzberg, chair of the editorial board, UC Berkeley School of Public Health Wellness Letter
