A panel of vaccine advisors to the Centers for Disease Control and prevention is set to revisit on Friday the decision to pause use of the COVID-19 vaccine made by Johnson and Johnson.

The vaccine was halted last week after rare blood clots developed in a handful of cases of the nearly seven million doses administered.

Today on Wellness Wednesday on All Sides with Ann Fisher, we talk with an immunologist who will explain what the developments mean.

We'll also discuss health disparities in the LGBTQ+ community and new breast cancer screening recommendations for transgender patients as well as speak with a dermatologist who says exfoliation is usually an unnecessary step.

Guests:

  • Dr. Annie Brown, Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine
  • Amy Kassouf, MD, Dermatologist, Cleveland Clinic
  • Dr. William Petri, Professor of Medicine, University of Virginia
