Ohio reported a record-high number of daily coronavirus cases Friday, surpassing the previous record set in July. Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine called the increase “a gut punch.”

DeWine urged Ohioans to wear masks and avoid large gatherings. But he still is weighing the prospect of lifting open hour restrictions on bars and restaurants.
