Wellness Wednesday: New Alzheimer’s Treatments

Stanford Medicine researchers have found a gene variant that protects some individuals who are at higher risk for Alzheimer’s disease from developing its debilitating effects.

More than 5 million Americans have symptomatic Alzheimer’s. It’s one of the leading causes of death in older people.

Researchers hope their findings will lead to better treatments and preventions for the disease.
