Astronaut Kathryn Sullivan And The Hubble Space Telescope

Kathryn Sullivan, the first American woman to walk in space, has written a new book about the Hubble Space Telescope and her work with the space shuttle crew that launched and later repaired the telescope.

The Hubble Space Telescope revolutionized our understanding of the universe.

Since its launch nearly 30 years ago, Hubble has revealed whole galaxies in seemingly empty patches of sky, discovered planets with moons orbiting distant stars, and expanded our knowledge of black holes, the age and the rate of expansion of the universe, and more.
