The U.S. Supreme Court made two high-profile decisions last week to close out their 2018-2019 session.
The nation’s high court decided in a 5-4 vote that federal courts don't have the constitutional basis to hear cases that challenge extreme partisan gerrymandering. Ohio will have to wait until 2021 to see a new map drawn by legislators.
The court also decided against the Trump administration's plan to inlcude a citizenship question on the 2020 census, but the majority opinion, written by Chief Justice Roberts, left open the possibility of future consideration.
