Youth Suicide And Peer-To-Peer Support

Pxhere

Youth suicide in the U.S. spiked nationwide after the 2017 release of “13 Reasons Why,” a Netflix series about a girl who takes her own life.

The study was led by researchers at Nationwide Children's Hospital, which found 195 more suicides than expected among youth ages 10 to 17 nine months after the show was released in March 2017.

A third season of the show is due this year.

And the study authors have recommended caution.
