After nearly 16 years on the run, Boston gangster and longtime fugitive James “Whitey” Bulger was finally locked up in 2011. Whitey Bulger rose to number one on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List following the death of Osama Bin Laden. Bulger became the most wanted crime boss in America after an international manhunt for racketeering, extortion, and money laundering. Bulger’s life has inspired movies like Black Mass, which hits theaters this Friday.
