Ohio judges, township trustees, county and state elected officials have not had a pay raise since the great recession kicked off in 2008. The rest of the economy has moved on, but those public officials rely on the Ohio General Assembly for their pay raises. And it’s not popular to give public officials pay raises these days.

Guests:

  • Mark Niquette, reporter for Bloomberg News
  • Jackie Borchardt, statehouse reporter for the Northeast Ohio Media Group
  • Mike Thompson, news director at WOSU 89.7 NPR News

This show originally aired on June 8, 2015 at 10 a.m.
