Moving Out, Moving On: What's Gained And Lost In A Move From Public Housing
For a long time in Cleveland, more families have wanted to move into public housing than out. The waiting list to get an apartment through the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) stood at 19,000 people as of 2018. But people do move out of public housing all the time. After 14 years in public housing, Kisha Nixon is one of them.

Camps Prepping For Limited Capacity, Virtual Options For Summer 2020
Ohio day camps can begin reopening May 31, Gov. Mike DeWine announced in his daily coronavirus press conference Thursday. Full guidelines from the state are forthcoming, but camps around Northeast Ohio already have plans of their own at the ready to keep children safe. Hiram House in Chagrin Falls has suspended some of its camp options for the 2020 season, said Executive Director Courtney Guzy, including the overnight camp, cookouts and group photos.

Will Pandemic-Induced Jogging Create A New Generation of Runners?
Megan Jones has been running for years. As a seasoned marathoner, she is a familiar sight on the streets of Cleveland’s West Side and the trails of the regional Metroparks system — often accompanied by her dog, Roxy, who pants happily alongside her. Lately, though, they’re far from alone. "The Metroparks have been packed sometimes," she says. "Alarming isn't the right word, but to a degree that there isn't space to safe distance on some of the paths."
