Cuyahoga County To Test For Coronavirus From Pre-Lockdown Deaths
Cuyahoga County's medical examiner hopes this week to begin the process of testing samples for the coronavirus from before Ohio's lockdown. This kind of post-mortem testing was also done in Northern California, where Santa Clara County health officials found confirmed cases dating from early February, earlier than other confirmed cases at the time. ideastream’s All Things Considered host Tony Ganzer asked Dr. Thomas Gilson for the details on this type of testing and what it could reveal about the pandemic timeline.

Q&A: COVID-19 May Cause Memory Loss And Confusion For Some Patients
Coronavirus cases continue to rise across the country and in the Cleveland area. As doctors and researchers learn more about the virus, it’s becoming clear COVID-19 is much more than a respiratory disease. Northeast Ohio Artists Show Hope Through Pandemic Creations
Erin Guido has been working from home, but a project brought her outside to a normally busy intersection in Cleveland's Ohio City neighborhood. After a car recently crashed into a building, the owner asked her to paint something on the temporary boards securing the site at W. 25th Street and Detroit Avenue. Guido painted two murals of positive messages in her typical style of bright colors and shapes.

Northeast Ohio Farmers Markets Set New Guidelines Ahead Of Summer Season
Farmers markets around Northeast Ohio are instating new policies to keep customers safe from the spread of the coronavirus as they begin opening for the year. Geauga Fresh Farmer’s Market will open its outdoor market Saturday, after prematurely closing the indoor winter market in March.

Poll: Growing Gap In Approval For DeWine, Trump's Pandemic Responses
A new poll from Baldwin Wallace University finds a widening gap in approval ratings for Gov. Mike DeWine and President Donald Trump’s coronavirus responses. The poll surveyed roughly 800 registered Ohio voters on government COVID-19 response and the upcoming election. Previous BW polls have included multiple Midwestern states. About 85 percent of Ohioans surveyed approve of the measures DeWine has enacted during the pandemic and 79 percent believe the governor began to put preventative measures in place at the appropriate time.

Small Businesses Reach Out To Cities, Counties For Pandemic Aid
For 30 years, Cleveland screen printing company Nightsweats & T-cells has been turning out merchandise and art to support people living with HIV. They print t-shirts and other items for events and fundraisers, particularly in the theater industry. Pandemic-driven event cancellations and theater shutdowns have thrown business into uncertainty, Gilbert Kudrin, who runs the operation, told ideastream. For instance, Nightsweats & T-cells ships goods to New York and around the United States for the nonprofit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, he said.
