I-X Center To Close After 35 Years As COVID-19 Curtails Events Industry
The I-X Center is shutting its doors after decades hosting many of Cleveland’s biggest events, its managing company announced Wednesday afternoon. Bay Village Homeless Jesus Story Goes Viral, Prompts Donations & Discussion
A week after a passerby called police about a homeless person motionless on a bench, the Bay Village church hosting what is actually a traveling sculpture of Jesus has landed at the center of a viral moment. The statue depicts Jesus as homeless, covered in a blanket and lying on a bench. His bare feet are the only visible body part. There’s a hole in each foot, meant to evoke the crucifixion.

U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan Wins Re-election In Ohio's 13th District
Updated: 12:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2020 Democrat Rep. Tim Ryan has been re-elected to Ohio’s 13th Congressional district for a fifth term, according to unofficial election results from the Associated Press. Ryan defeated Republican challenger Christina Hagan, an Alliance resident who served in the Ohio House from 2011 to 2018 when she was term limited. Chemist Michael Fricke from Kent ran on the Libertarian ticket.

Virtual Events A Big Experiment For Performing Artists
Ben Gage, like many other performers these days, talks to his fans over the internet instead of in a music club. The Akron musician started regular online sessions when the pandemic hit. And with no end in sight, performing online is a growing trend. “It's so up and down, I think, because it's such a new space for so many of us. It's just something we kind of have to take day by day,” Gage said. “And there's so much trial and error.”
