Wife of Youngstown Businessman in Deportation Fight Speaks Out
A Youngstown businessman got a temporary reprieve last night, with a special action by a U.S. House Judiciary subcommittee voting to request that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security take another look at his deportation case. U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan sponsored the bil, H.R. 1237, a private immigration bill that would grant Amer "Al Adi" Othman legal permanent residence. The review of Adi's case is a preliminary step before the subcommittee can review Ryan's bill.

Video: Western Lake Erie Turns Green From Algae
Western Lake Erie’s algae bloom is in full swing – and the water is a sickly green. At Maumee Bay State Park near Toledo, Ohio, the lake looks like it’s covered in paint. Thick lines of scum swirl around as the sun beats down. Don McGee, a charter boat captain, takes a group of students and reporters to the middle of the lake to describe what’s floating around. He’s fished Lake Erie for over 30 years, and says it isn’t going to get healthy overnight – but more needs to be done.

Halloween Stereotypes Cause Concern For Some Mental Health Advocates
On Halloween, scary costumes and haunted houses are prevalent. But “scary” to some might be offensive to others. There are some haunted houses in Northeast Ohio that raise questions about mental health stereotypes. One local haunted house features an attraction called the “Mental Ward,” and the description on the website asks: “Are you brave enough to step inside with the mentally insane?” Another haunted trail calls its route through the forest a “Psycho Path,” and a haunted prison advertises its “extremely psychotic inmates.”

Bob Patterson And Photographing The Streets Of Cleveland
Street photography can be traced back to the work of Henri Cartier-Bresson. “Life is very fluid," said Cartier-Bresson during a 1979 interview with NPR. "Well, sometimes pictures disappear. And there’s nothing you can do – you can’t tell the person, ‘oh please smile again, do that gesture again.’ Life is once, forever.”

Lake Erie's Problems Take Center Stage in 'Voice of the Lake'
It may be hard to imagine a composer being inspired by public hearings and court cases. But Lake Erie and its problems take center stage in a new oratorio from Cleveland composer Margaret Brouwer. Picture a stage full of people – choirs of children and adults, rows of musicians, 4 soloists, and a conductor all performing a piece of music. Here, the real star of Voice of the Lake is Lake Erie.
