Cleveland Doctor Suggests How to Help Kids Cope With Anxiety About COVID-19
Social distancing and staying at home can be cause for anxiety in children and young adults. Dr. Jason Lambrese, a pediatric and adolescent psychiatrist at Cleveland Clinic, has compiled tips for children and parents to cope with these feelings in a recent paper published in the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine.

Arrested Demonstrators Begin To Leave Jail; Most From Northeast Ohio
Updated: 8:20 a.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2020 Wearing masks and speaking to jailed defendants by videoconference, judges on Monday began hearing the cases of the dozens of people arrested during the weekend’s demonstrations in Downtown Cleveland. Defendants face charges including aggravated riot, breaking and entering and failure to comply with a police officer’s orders. Most of those arraigned Monday received personal bonds, allowing them to leave jail without putting down any money.

Cleanup Efforts Begin In Downtown Cleveland Ahead Of Sunday Curfew
Updated: 12:25 p.m., Sunday, May 31, 2020 Cleveland residents have organized cleanup efforts downtown following Saturday protests. Storefronts and buildings throughout Public Square and along Euclid Avenue were looted or damaged after demonstrations outside City Hall and the Cuyahoga County Justice Center.
Cleveland Will Assess Curfew At End Of Week, Mayor Says
Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson said he’ll evaluate at the end of the week whether to continue the city’s Downtown and Ohio City curfew in the wake of protests turned violent. The curfew will lift for daytime hours, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, continuing nightly until Friday. Decisions about Friday night are still pending, he said.

A Long-Lost Mural Returns to Downtown Cleveland
A mural by a world-renown Cleveland painter is back in downtown Cleveland after it fell victim years ago to Northeast Ohio winters. The late-Julian Stanczak’s 12-story, optical-art painting was part of an effort to brighten up the dingy downtown landscape in 1973. The long-lost mural at East 10th Street and Prospect Avenue was refurbished as part of this summer’s FRONT Triennial for Contemporary Art. Watching a paint crew finishing up the restoration, Stanczak’s wife Barbara recalled its origins.

Three Indicted For Murder Of 9-year-old Girl Saniyah Nicholson
A grand jury today handed down an indictment on multiple charges against Ce’Matizea Andrews, Davontae Nettles, and Aaron George in conjuction with the slaying of 9-year-old Saniyah Nicholson, according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's office. The indictment alleges that on Wednesday June 20, 2018, Andrews, 19, Nettles, 19, George, 18, and a juvenile were involved in a shootout on Lee Road in the Lee-Miles neighborhood.
Transit Advocates Push RTA To Ask Voters For Tax Levy
Time is running out for public transit advocates hoping to see a tax levy to support the region's ailing transit system on this November's election ballot. For months, the volunteer-run group Clevelanders for Public Transit (CPT) has been lobbying the RTA Board to give the tax levy a chance. Monday, the group held a rally in Public Square, near the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority's downtown headquarters, to call attention to the issue.
