The team overseeing Cleveland’s police reform agreement will review the department’s handling of local demonstrations prompted by the death of George Floyd. Monitor Hassan Aden notified city leaders of the review in a memo dated June 17 and filed in federal court Thursday. The review will examine preparations for the protests, community engagement, arrests and uses of force, Aden wrote.

Ashtabula County residents tentatively approved a levy that would aid in fighting erosion along the Lake Erie shoreline in Geneva-on-the-Lake. Unofficial Primary Day results show the levy ahead by fewer than 100 votes late Tuesday night, with a tally of 793 voters in favor and 729 against. Any mail-in ballots postmarked by April 27 will be counted, even if they have not yet been received by county boards of elections. The results may change the slim margin.

That’s leading to financial struggles for federally qualified health centers. “The decrease in face-to-face visits is going to have a detrimental impact on community health centers across the state,” said Jean Polster, CEO of Neighborhood Family Practice, a community health center in Cleveland.
