Emerging data from COVID-19 cases show skin symptoms are potentially associated with coronavirus infection. Cleveland Clinic dermatologists Drs. Fernandez said he's seen some of these symptoms in patients at the Cleveland Clinic as well.

Akron May Be Next Ohio City With A Mask Mandate
Columbus joined several other Ohio cities in requiring masks in public spaces. The Columbus mask mandate begins Friday. Akron may soon follow. “This is about science. This is not about politics,” said Akron Ward 5 councilwoman Tara Mosley-Samples. “I think that they have politicized it so much that we are ignoring the science here, and the science says we have a problem,” said Samples.

After COVID-19 Postponement, Ohio's Primary Election Day Is Finally Here
Ohio’s extended primary election comes to an end Tuesday night, six weeks after state officials closed polling places as part of the effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus. The state legislature’s COVID-19 response bill moved the primary from March 17 to April 28, an earlier date than Gov. Mike DeWine and Secretary of State Frank LaRose had originally sought.

Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority ridership fell 50 percent last week, Chief Operating Officer Floun’say Caver told board members Tuesday. While transit remains “the veins of Cleveland,” RTA CEO India Birdsong told board members, the agency is cutting back on services because of low demand during the stay-at-home order.

Study: Autopsies Can Help Determine If Patient Died From Or With COVID-19
Thousands of COVID-19 cases may go undetected due to lack of testing. But on the other hand, a local researcher said some deaths could be mistakenly attributed to COVID-19 when an underlying condition was the main cause. A recent study involving two Cleveland Clinic doctors finds autopsies can help determine whether people with the coronavirus die from COVID-19 or an underlying condition. That difference can complicate how COVID-19 deaths are counted.
