But he says the university is "in transition," and touts its longevity.

Council Received Numerous Complaints About Home Where Bodies Were Found
A home in Cleveland’s Mt. Pleasant neighborhood — where four badly decomposed bodies were discovered on Saturday — has been a nuisance property for several years, said Cleveland City Council member Kevin Bishop. The boarded up property on E. 144th Street is in Ward 2, which Bishop represents. Police are still investigating how the four people died and officials are still trying to identify the bodies, Bishop said.

Election 2019: Mixed Results For Local School Levies
Cleveland-area schools will see mixed results to school tax levy proposals after Tuesday night’s elections. Cuyahoga County voters approved two of the three school tax levies on the ballot. Cuyahoga Community College’s proposal passed, with roughly 64 percent approval. It will increase Tri-C’s current levy to 23 cents per $100 valuation, lasting for the next 10 years. And with support from about 65 percent of those voting, Brooklyn city schools will continue with the current tax levy for five more years.

Cleveland Officials Have No Cost Estimate For New Police Headquarters
Cleveland officials say they don’t know how much it will cost to build a new police headquarters along the Opportunity Corridor, but it may exceed the $60 million originally slated for the project. At a Monday morning committee meeting, city council members pressed administration officials to provide cost estimates and explain why police now plan to move their center of operations outside Downtown. “Is it prudent for us to lock into a location if we don’t know the cost?” Councilman Tony Brancatelli asked at the meeting.

Study Finds Water, Sewer Services Cost Day's Wages For Low-Income Families
A new report examining water accessibility in “water-rich” Ohio shows affordability is an issue for residents in both urban and rural areas. The study from the Alliance for the Great Lakes and Ohio Environmental Council shows that while water costs are essentially the same across the state, households in lower income brackets have more difficulty paying for service. In nearly 80 percent of Ohio communities, a month of basic water and sewer service costs more than eight hours of minimum-wage labor, according to the report.

South Euclid Author Leaps From Self-Publishing To Traditional Book Deal
Abby L. Vandiver has self-published stories about amateur sleuths solving crimes since 2013. A bit of a sleuth herself, she followed the example of other writers to learn the ropes of how to self-publish and market the books. “I’d find people that were selling their books and I'd stalk them online,” she said. “I'd buy their book, I'd sign up for their newsletter, and I do things just to find out: How are they doing this?” Writers may study her now instead, since she landed a book deal with a large publisher.
