Cleveland City Council President Kevin Kelley is asking Gov. Mike DeWine and the Ohio Power Siting Board to reconsider restrictions on a proposed wind turbine project in Lake Erie. The restrictions, which include the requirement for shutting down the turbines every night for two-thirds of the year to protect migratory birds, will prevent the Icebreaker wind turbine project from proceeding, Kelley said in letters to the board and DeWine. The board’s restrictions unnecessary and are actively trying to halt development of renewable energy, Kelley said.

Medina County health officials are investigating three COVID-19 cases reported in two school districts. But a new partnership between Microsoft and Agile networks could bring broadband service to some of these areas for the first time.
