Ohio Libraries Win at Ballot Boxes Across the State
Ohio library measures fared well at the voting booth, this past Tuesday, but hotly contested library levy in Shaker Heights only passed by a narrow margin. The campaign pitted the library against a community group that argued Shaker should merge with the Cuyahoga County Public Library system to better achieve cost savings. The levy passed by a margin of just over 300 votes out of more than 9,000 cast. Shaker Heights Library director Amy Switzer says she's still recovering from the tight victory.
Robert Mankoff on Cartoons Making the Cut
A business man looks at his calendar while speaking on the phone and says, "No, Thursday's out. How about never - is never good for you?" This snarky line comes from Robert Mankoff's most popular cartoon for the New Yorker magazine from 1993. Cleveland Hopkins Resumes Curbside Pick-ups And Drop-offs

In an effort to ease congestion on the aging terminal access ramps, airport officials last January diverted all commercial traffic to a nearby holding area while reinforcing the roadways. That move infuriated both drivers and passengers. But that’s not why the decision was recently reversed, according to airport director Robert Kennedy.
