Cleveland Investing In Renovations On Historic Rose And AT&T Buildings
Cleveland City Council’s Development, Planning and Sustainability Committee has signed off on plans to renovate two historic buildings downtown. One is the oldest office building in the city. The other is where Superman used to work. When the Rose building opened in 1902 at the corner of East 9th and Prospect it was reportedly the largest office building in Ohio.

Akron's Rita Dove on Poetry and Politics
If you like the idea of a little poetry with your news Pulitzer Prize winner Rita Dove has you covered. The Akron-born poet is currently the poetry editor for the New York Times Magazine. Back in the 90s Dove was the first African-American to be named United State Poet Laureate. Next weekend she is honored with the lifetime achievement award for the Cleveland Arts Prize. FBI Re-Creates Fake Heads Used In 1962 Alcatraz Prison Escape
When three inmates escaped Alcatraz in 1962 they used fake heads to fool the prison guards. Now, the FBI has re-created the heads in order to preserve the history of an escape that is still unsolved.

RTA Board Discusses Budget: "We Will Get Through 2019"
Greater Cleveland RTA presented its 2019 budget for the first time Tuesday, and thanks to a limited infusion of state aid, the agency will likely get through 2019 with a positive balance. The 2019 budget projects small increases in fares as well as sales and tax revenue for RTA. “With an estimated beginning balance of $35.1 million, 2019 is starting strong,” said RTA’s Kay Satula, who presented the budget at its first hearing. But ridership continues to decrease. Satula says that it could have been worse.

It's that time of year again when you start to see signs of spring begin to bloom. But it may surprise you that many common plants in Northeast Ohio are not native to the region.
